Fire Protection Project | November 2022

The Alpine Meadows and Olympic Valley Fire Protection Project aims to reduce fuel loading and promote forest health on 1,080-acres - most in Alpine Meadows.  AMEA with others* is working with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to raise the remaining $ 185,000 of the $ 448,000 needed for the project’s environmental analysis.   Once completed, NFF will be well positioned to get state and federal funding for the project’s fuel reduction implementation.

Two anonymous AMEA members will donate $ 1 for every $ 1 donated up to $ 35,000 - increasing Alpine Meadows Estates contribution to up to $ 70,000!    We must raise all funds by the end of January 2023 so please make your donation today.

Learn more about the project and NFF here.   Rember, it’s Giving Tuesday on November 29 - a good day to support our project, too!

*Alpine Meadows Valley’s Fire Council, Bear Creek and Juniper Mountain Associations, Palisades Tahoe, other community members & small businesses who live and care about Alpine Meadows and Olympic Valley.  All donations made will be specific to this project.

Contributions to NFF, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please seek advice from a tax professional.
